Director of Quality Risk Management is responsible for organizing, leading, implementing and supervising day to day operations of the performance improvement and risk management programs. Contributes to Texas General Hospital's mission and vision by planning, designing, studying and assessing hospital-wide performance improvement, survey readiness programs and risk prevention measures. Responsible for coordination of internal of internal performance improvement activities, leads and serves as a model for identifying opportunities for improvement throughout the organization, managing activities necessary to ensure appropriate utilization of the hospital and its resources while maintaining optimal achievable standards of patient care, as well as working collaboratively with the medical staff and leadership in support of process improvement and risk management goals.


 Licenses and Certification:  Licensed as RN in state of Texas.

 Education, Vocational Training, and Experience:  BSN preferred.  Minimum five years' experience in Quality Management and Risk Management in an acute care setting preferred. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and NIAHO Standards also preferred.


Working knowledge of regulatory requirements for acute care setting. 

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. 

Ability to work with other members of the healthcare team to meet patient needs. 

Ability to interact in a positive manner and to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, employees, supervisor and other hospital employees.
